Philippine Medical Association was awarded the coveted Outstanding Accredited Professional Organization for 2009 by the Philippine Regulation Commission ( PRC) . The Awarding Ceremonies of the 36th Founding Anniversary and Professional Regulation Week was held at the Manila Hotel last June 19, 2009. The theme was “Strengthening the Image of PRC : Integrity, Transparency and Competence”. The PMA President, Dr. Rey Melchor Santos , humbly accepted the award that surpassed six other nominees for the year from the Hon. Nicolas Lapena Jr., Chairman of the PRC.
